The Miranda Public School difference
Wellbeing, belonging and connection
We know that children learn best when they feel safe, valued, respected and connected to their school community. Strong relationships between students, staff and families create the foundation for positive wellbeing, engagement and successful learning.
We foster an inclusive and welcoming environment where every student is known and encouraged to develop confidence, resilience and a strong sense of belonging. Our school values guide students to become safe, respectful and responsible learners who care for themselves and others. Together, we create a community in which every child feels supported and ready to learn.
Academic excellence and growth
Our strong record of academic achievement reflects a commitment to supporting every student to make meaningful progress. High expectations, explicit teaching and evidence-informed practice underpin learning across the school.
Learning is carefully structured, clearly explained and responsive to student needs, ensuring students receive the appropriate balance of support, challenge and extension. Students are encouraged to think deeply, solve problems, ask questions and take an active role in their learning. Through rich classroom experiences, enrichment opportunities and high-potential and gifted education programs, students develop curiosity, creativity and confidence while striving to achieve their personal best.
Every student known, valued and supported
We recognise that every student brings individual strengths, experiences, interests and learning needs. Our inclusive approach ensures that students receive the adjustments, targeted support and appropriate challenge they need to participate fully in school life and experience success.
Partnerships with families are an essential part of this work. By listening, communicating openly and working collaboratively, we develop a shared understanding of each child and make informed decisions about their learning and wellbeing. Every student is known, valued and supported to learn, grow and belong.

Principal's message
Welcome to Miranda Public School, where we proudly acknowledge the Gweagal of the Dharawal Nation as the Traditional Owners of this land. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging.
Our motto, “Growing Together, Learning Forever,” reflects our love of learning by encouraging curiosity and creativity across the curriculum, enhanced by a wide range of extracurricular programs. These opportunities include performing arts, sports, and student leadership, helping students to build confidence, agency, and lifelong skills.
I am proud of our dedicated and caring staff, who celebrate diversity and differentiate explicit, evidence-informed teaching to meet the learning and wellbeing needs of each child.
Our school learning and wellbeing programs are underpinned by Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL), promoting safe, respectful and responsible learners.
Join us at Miranda Public School, where we actively engage with parents, carers, and the wider community to create strong partnerships that enrich our students’ educational journey and sense of belonging.
